I’m starting to feel that crisp fall air a bit & craving pumpkin spice lattes, so fall must be close! I add a few simple touches to my front porch to help welcome my favorite season.
So far I have made a new wreath and added pinecones to the little planters.
I wanted a simple wreath with a natural look. This was so easy to make. I just used some flowing fall leaf stems and stuck them in a grapevine base starting at the top and working my way down. I wanted them to hang on the wreath base just as if they were growing on it.
To finish it off I hung my wreath from some green burlap ribbon. Another simple touch that I love.
I will probably add a few more things like some pumpkins and gourds, but for now I am feeling content with this simple look.
Is fall close where you are?’

Very pretty! I'm trying hard to create a simpler look as well. When we move next spring it will be easier to work on this.

ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I never thought to add pine cones to the planters, but it does look very fall-ish. Simple and easy is my motto this year.

ReplyDeleteI love your blog name. I'm the Leadership Team for my church, which is called The Gathering Church. The word "gathering" always catches my eye! :)
I totally a-dore this wreath. I'm not much of a wreath person, but this, I would do. I love the "free form" of it. I'm Pinning!

ReplyDeleteVery nice visiting with you.
Love your front door and adore the natural look of your wreath. Love that you did it loose like that. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is simply gorgeous. Can't beat that combination... simple and elegant and gorgeous. Your use of pine cones in the planters reminds me to check on mine. I think my trees have overgrown the pine cones I put in there last fall.:) Love your black urns. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDelete<3 that!! It is so beautiful, yet simple!
