Today is the last Wednesday of the month so that means it’s party time over at The Stories of A to Z. The perfect time to share another part of my slow updates to my kitchen dinette/office area. I updated the family photo wall as I showed you HERE and in the corner of this wall is my computer armoire.
Here it is in it’s very sad, neglected state before. (I told you I still had a pine tree up from winter…horrible, but remember it did snow here the other day!)
And, the after. Ahhh, much betta! It feels clean and light and fresh. I often question why things that bother me so much (like the before shot) take me so long to do something about. Maybe I subconsciously prolong them so the after with feel that much better. Hahaha, or maybe I’m just a procrastinator. ;) Either way, this feels good.
As you can see the twiggy arrangement I made the other day is serving her purpose nicely. You can see how I put it together HERE. You’ll also see my clearance clock (that doesn’t work by the way, but that is a whole other story.;) and some stacked thrift store books. *I love using books in decorating. It is a great way to add height, color and interest.*
I also put a little lamp up for some cozy warmth. I have had this one for years, I spruced it up with a little funky trim.
The fabulous little ‘N’ found it’s place as well, above the pictures. Cute, huh?
The room is still definitely a work in progress and I will continue to share it’s progress. New light, new window ‘mistreatments’, painting chairs…fun stuff!
This is random, but Speaking of paint, I had the weirdest dream last night. We were at an old friends house for dinner and I started spray painting furniture on their lawn and they didn’t really appreciate it. The weird part is that I thought it was perfectly normal and acceptable behavior for a guest at a dinner party. Have I gone mad? Wait…don’t answer that. ;)
Linking up…check out all the goods!
I would love a clock like that! Beautiful decorating!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet vignette! I love that clock.
ReplyDeleteI love your vignette! Gorgeous clock. LOL on your dream! I think it is your brain's way of dealing with the potential cognitive dissonance between your blogging world and your non-blogging world. If you came over and started spray painting my stuff I'd be happy :)....(as long as it was in a good color.)
ReplyDeleteKrista is all so precious! Where did you find that teeny lamp? It is just the sweetest thing. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great evening. ~Melissa :)
This is beautiful! I LOVE the clock, who cares if it works or not! It LOOKS good! The "n" looks fab too!!
ReplyDeleteLou Cinda :)
Nice vignette! But how could I not like it, it has twigs in it! Love the clock too.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I also love the clock. You are welcome to come to my house and spray paint anytime!
